To provide transparency and share information with those we serve, we are sharing with you the below list of notable calls for service for June. Note that this is not a complete list of calls as JPD officers handled hundreds of other calls in June. Names and locations have been removed to protect the privacy of those involved.

6/2 @ 9:00 p.m., a vehicle was pulled over for speeding, going in a continuous circle in a roundabout and striking a curb. The driver was cited for deviation from designated lane and operating with a suspended license.

6/3 @ 5:48 p.m., a vehicle was pulled over because the driver had a revoked license. The driver was issued citations for not having insurance, violation of license restrictions for not having an Ignition Interlock Device and a criminal citation for Operating after Revocation.

6/3 @ 7:08 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly that was entering the village. The officer on patrol located the suspect vehicle and stopped it. The driver was arrested for operating while under the influence, first offense.

6/4 @ 3:43 p.m., While on a traffic stop, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana from the vehicle. The vehicle was searched, and citations were issued for possession of THC (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

6/7 @ 5:25 p.m., A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at Action in Jackson after being warned for trespassing and because of her behavior and profane language.

6/8 @ 11:10 p.m., A man was arrested for violating the terms of his probation.

6/11 @ 12:09 p.m., Officers investigated a report of child neglect.

6/11 @ 2:05 p.m., An officer responded to a report of a child that had locked himself in a storage unit. The officer was able to assist with removing the child from the storage unit. This matter is under investigation.

6/11 @ 7:08 p.m., A violent domestic violence incident resulted in the arrest of an adult man. Charges were referred to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.

6/11 @ 10:30 p.m., A group of juveniles were smoking marijuana in a private residence. They posted videos to social media depicting their drug use and it was reported to JPD. A 14-year old buy was cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.

6/13 @ 11:25 p.m., A traffic stop resulted in an Operating while under the Influence (OWI) arrest. PBT was .115.

6/21 @ 6:17 p.m., A woman was observed slumped over the steering wheel at Main Street Mart. The woman was arrested for two warrants and driving after revocation and taken to the Washington County Jail.

6/23 @ 4:20 a.m., A vehicle was pulled over for speeding. The driver’s PBT was .149. He was arrested for OWI and taken to the jail.

6/23 @ 8:54 p.m., a person was taken into protective custody.

6/27 @ 4:42 p.m., A complaint was received regarding the odor of marijuana. Several items of drug paraphernalia were turned over to the investigating officer. A citation was issued for possession of drug paraphernalia.

6/29 @ 9:12 p.m., A domestic disturbance resulted in the arrest of an adult male for domestic battery and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the jail and charges were referred to the district attorney’s office.
