August was a busy month for JPD. To provide transparency and share information with those we serve, we are sharing with you the below list of notable calls for service for August. Note that this is not a complete list of calls as JPD officers handled hundreds of other calls in August. Names and locations have been removed to protect the privacy of those involved.  If you have a question, please contact the Chief of Police.

8/1 @ An adult was taken into protective custody and transported to a hospital.

8/2 @ An adult male was warned for damaging real estate signs on Stonewall Drive.

8/2 @ 8:57 p.m., A 17-year-old woman came to the police department to file a complaint.  An odor of marijuana was detected when she came into the department.  Numerous items of drug paraphernalia were found in her backpack. The woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

8/4 @ 9:04 p.m., Officers responded to a domestic disturbance between two adult males. One of the men was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and taken to the Washington County Jail.

8/7 @ 7:17 p.m., A clerk at a local gas station was cited for alcohol sales to an underage person.

8/8 @ 9:07 p.m., A vehicle was stopped for a defective headlamp.  The driver was on parole for a sex offense.  The driver was found to be in possession of cell phones and children’s toys which is prohibited under the terms of his release.  The man was arrested for a parole violation and transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/11 @ 3:18 a.m., An adult woman was stopped after an officer observed her traveling at 94 mph on Hwy 45. The driver was under the influence of intoxicants.  She was arrested and taken to a hospital for a blood draw, when she became uncooperative with officers. The woman refused to submit to a blood draw. She was arrested for OWI 1^st offense, speeding and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription.

8/12 @ 2:27 a.m., An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver had a suspended driver’s license and an open court case which prohibited her from driving. She was arrested for bail jumping and was taken to the Washington County Jail.

8/12 @ 2:37 p.m., A hit and run crash occurred on Eagle Dr@ Hwy 60.  The at-fault driver fled the scene after striking an occupied vehicle.  The suspect was located by the officer and was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed, inattentive driving, and failure to notify police of an accident.

8/13 @10:06 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a fight in progress between three adult family members. An adult woman was intoxicated and uncooperative. The woman was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail. She was booked on the following charges: Two counts of domestic violence/ disorderly conduct, domestic violence – battery, strangulation, and obstructing/resisting an officer.

8/14 @ 5:49 p.m., Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct. Two adult females were arguing over a chair, when one of them pulled it out from the other one who was sitting on it. The woman who pulled the chair out was intoxicated and had been court ordered not to drink alcohol. She was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/14 @9:06 p.m., One of the women involved in the chair dispute sent a profane and threatening text message to her neighbor. She was issued a citation for unlawful use of computerized communications-obscenity.

8/15 @ 5:46 p.m., JPD received a call reporting a semi stuck in the roundabouts on Hwy 60, near Hwy 45. Upon arrival, it was determined that it was an oversized load that was navigating the roundabouts. Officers assisted with traffic control while the first truck maneuvered thru. That truck was able to get safely on to Hwy 45 northbound. The second truck ended up getting stuck on Hwy 60. The truck was carrying a 150 ft, 225,000-pound windmill piece.  This happened two more times in the month of August.

8/16 @ 1:19 p.m., A traffic stop was made on a vehicle with suspended registration.  The driver had a revoked driver’s license and a warrant through Sheboygan County.  The driver was cited for operating after revocation.

8/16 @ 4:36 p.m., A residential burglary was reported on St. Andrews Court. Cash was reported stolen. This matter is under investigation.

8/18 5:07 p.m., Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. The male party involved had fled the residence prior to the officers arriving. Charges were referred to the district attorney’s office.

8/18 @ 11:05 p.m., Officers responded to a report that an adult woman struck an adult male in the head with a dog gate, causing injury. This matter is under investigation.

8/20 @ 2:07 a.m., An officer was dispatched to Hwy 45 to assist after a two-vehicle accident. The driver of the car said he fell asleep and hit a minivan.  Beer and drug paraphernalia were in the car. The man admitted to smoking marijuana and was arrested for OWI.

8/20 @11:37 a.m., Officers responded to a report that a woman at a local business had an active warrant.  The woman was taken into custody for the Dodge County warrant and transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/21 @2:05 p.m., A report of fraudulent checks being cashed was reported. This matter is under investigation.

8/21 @ 9:38 p.m., Officers responded to a domestic violence incident. During an argument, an adult woman threw a 3-foot long wooden boat and broke the glass top on a table. She was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/22 @ 10:57 p.m., An adult male reported that another adult male threatened to pistol whip and shoot him. This matter is under investigation.

8/22 @ 8:02 p.m., Officers were sent to a residence for a domestic violence incident.  The responding officer reported it sounded like a gunshot fired from inside when he arrived. It was determined that a juvenile had lit a firework off in the house during the argument. In plain view throughout the home were numerous drugs, paraphernalia, and illicit items.  A search warrant was obtained.  A small amount of marijuana and prescription pills were found, in addition to a large amount of paraphernalia. Charges are pending.

8/23/19 @ 5:32 p.m., Officers were requested to respond to a residence for a report of a physical disturbance that took place between two adult women. Both were arrested for disorderly conduct-domestic violence related.

8/24/19 @ 10:35 p.m., There was a two-vehicle accident at the roundabout at Hwy 60 and 45.  An odor of intoxicants was detected on one of the drivers, a 17-year-old woman. The woman was arrested for OWI (PBT .116) and transported to the Washington County Jail for violating the terms of her probation. She was also cited for failing to yield and minor in possession of tobacco

8/25/19 @ 8:11 p.m., Officers responded to a residence for a report that a woman was screaming out a window for help. Two victims were injured. An adult woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, strangulation, and physical abuse of a child. She was transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/26 @ 7:32 a.m., An officer received a phone call at the PD and all that was heard was “enough is enough” and then the phone went dead.  We were able to trace the number to an address. A juvenile had injured an adult. Charges were referred to juvenile authorities.

8/27 @ 5:52 p.m., A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a parole violator. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/30 @ 4:48 p.m., Officers responded to a domestic disturbance that had turned physical. An adult female was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and transported to the Washington County Jail.

8/31 @ 9:06 p.m., A Germantown police officer contacted JPD regarding a retail theft that occurred at Walgreens on 8/30.  Two male suspects had stolen approximately $630 worth of cosmetics.  This matter is under investigation.
