11/5 – During the overnight hours a vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed through Jackson Park and near Jackson Elementary. The occupants of the vehicle were cited for underage drinking, curfew, speeding, etc.

11/5 – A Jackson Police Department officer attempted to arrest a 30-year-old Hustisford man at the Main Street Mart in the Village of Jackson. The Hustisford man had a Felony Warrant for his arrest and was a suspect in a vehicle theft case from earlier in the day. The officer confronted the suspect who using heroin in the bathroom. The man resisted arrest and was able to escape from the officer. The officer had minor injuries.

The suspect fled the Main Street Mart on foot and ran across the roadway near Lake Hasmer. While responding officers were searching for the suspect, he entered Lake Hasmer and swam 50-70 feet offshore. Responding officers from Jackson and Slinger Police Departments entered Lake Hasmer to attempt to rescue the man who was yelling for help and unable to exit the lake. The officers were unable to safely reach him. Jackson Fire Department personnel responded and were able to safely rescue him.

The two officers that entered the water were treated for exposure and released at the scene. The suspect was transported to a local hospital. His condition is stable. Criminal charges are pending.

The Jackson Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Slinger Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson Fire Department.

11/6 – An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for suspended registration. The driver was cited, and a passenger was arrested for a Washington County warrant.

11/7- An officer assisted an adult woman who was highly intoxicated. She was taken to a local hospital.

11/7 – A seven-year-old girl called 911 because she didn’t know where her mom was. Officers responded. When the mother arrived home, she was intoxicated. She was arrested for OWI (6th Offense) with minor passengers.

11/12 – A woman reported a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) violation.  An adult man was taken into custody by Saukville PD and transported to jail.  Charges will be sent to the DA’s office.

11/12 – Two adult women were questioned after one of them passed a counterfeit $100 bill at Jackson Pub. This matter is under investigation.

11/12 – A 13-year-old was struck in the face by the child’s father, resulting in a black eye.  The father was arrested and taken to jail.  Charges sent to DA’s office for one count of physical abuse of a child.

11/18 – An adult male driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (1st offense, PBT .249). He was transported to the jail and charged with the OWI and Felony Bail Jumping.

11/21 – JPD Officers assisted an adult that had overdosed on prescription drugs.

11/26 – Two individuals were reported to be disorderly at Dairy Queen. A 17-year-old Waupun man mooned the manager, challenged him to a fight and urinated in the parking lot. The man’s preliminary breath test was .13. The 17-year-old man received several citations and adult woman was cited for underage drinking.

11/27 – Officers responded to a call of a traffic accident at the Tillie Lake roundabout. A vehicle had driven over the roundabout, struck a sign and the crashed into the rear of a semi-trailer. The driver’s PBT was .159. He was arrested for OWI and taken to jail.
