1/13, A woman was issued a citation for failing to notify the police of an accident after she had struck a vehicle on Georgetown Drive and left the scene.  An officer investigating the crash was able to match up pieces that had been left behind at the crash scene with the woman’s car thanks to an alert citizen’s tip.

1/20, During the overnight hours, an alert resident noticed activity on her Ring Doorbell. The video footage showed a juvenile attempting to enter her vehicle in an attached carport. She immediately dialed 911 and Officer Oswald responded and located the juvenile. We’d like to remind our citizens that this type of activity can happen at any time of year. This was a good reminder to lock your vehicles and secure valuables inside your residence.

1/24, Probation and Parole asked us to arrest a man that had several warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and taken to the jail.

1/26, A vehicle was observed traveling through a roundabout faster than the average traffic and rapidly accelerated on Hwy 45, operating at a speed in excess of 89 MPH. The female driver was ultimately arrested for OWI (1st offense, PBT .166) and cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed.
