7/3- An adult was taken into protective custody.

7/5- Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. An adult male was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and transported to the Washington County Jail.

7/7- Two suspects took a cart full of alcohol from Piggly Wiggly without paying for it. The suspect vehicle was located on Interstate 41 near Germantown by the Wisconsin State Patrol. A traffic stop was initiated, and the vehicle stopped, and the driver and passenger provided their driver’s licenses to the trooper. The vehicle then fled southbound. Since the suspects were identified, the trooper did not pursue. Charges are being referred to the District Attorney’s Office for Retail Theft and Bail jumping.

7/11– Officers assisted the Jackson Fire Department with a fire at a multi-unit apartment building on Georgetown Drive.

7/13- Officers assisted the Slinger Police Department with a traffic stop on STH 60 near Hillside Road. A Slinger officer had stopped a vehicle and observed that a passenger in the vehicle had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect armed himself with an 8” knife and held it to his own throat, threatening suicide. After a 1.5-hour standoff, the man surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.

7/14 @ 12:27 a.m.- Officers responded to a prowler complaint at Green Valley. The suspect fled from officers in a vehicle, and then on foot. After a two-hour search for the suspect, he was located and again fled on foot. A short foot pursuit took place and the man was taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending with the District Attorney’s Office.

7/15 @ 2:50 p.m.- Officers responded to call at a local assisted living facility for an adult man that had armed himself with a knife and threatened to kill himself. Prior to the officer’s arrival, he cut his neck and wrist. Officer Trevarthen and Detective Foeger immediately responded and were able to stabilize the man and wrestle the knife away from him. He was taken into protective custody and received medical treatment.

7/15 @ 9:32 p.m.– Officers investigated a report of a restraining order violation. An adult male had contacted a woman that he was prohibited from contacting. The man was already in jail on other charges. Charges were referred to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.

7/22- An officer on patrol noticed a vehicle travelling at 94 m.p.h. in a 70-m.p.h zone. The driver didn’t have a driver’s license and had already been convicted three times this year for operating without a license. The driver was also on parole for robbery and wasn’t allowed to be driving a vehicle with expired registration. He was taken into custody for operating without a valid license and bail jumping.

7/25 @ 3:20 p.m. – Officers observed a subject who they believed had a warrant for his arrest. The man denied being the person who had a warrant. After further questioning and investigation it was determined that the man was lying about his identity and he was arrested.

7/28- An officer observed a vehicle backing unsafely in a roundabout on Main Street. The officer stopped the vehicle and could smell the odor of burnt marijuana in the car. A marijuana cigarette and drug paraphernalia were located. The driver was cited for operating with a suspended driver’s license, unsafe backing and possession of THC (marijuana).

7/30 @ 12:16 a.m.- Officers responded to a report by an adult male that he had been assaulted at the park and ride by two unknown suspects, who then stole his vehicle. The vehicle was located several hours later stuck in the trees by the river on Church Road. The steering column and ignition had been damaged. After further investigation, the owner of the vehicle admitted that the vehicle hadn’t been stolen. The original caller that reported the assault had crashed the car and devised a plan to falsely report the vehicle as stolen to cover up the crash. The caller was cited for obstructing a police officer.
